HAMSHIRE-FANNETT ISD TO ACCEPT NON-RESIDENT STUDENT TRANSFERS

Hamshire-Fannett Independent School District has announced that it will begin allowing admission of students that live outside District boundaries to all District Schools beginning immediately. HFISD will begin accepting applications for out of district transfers beginning immediately and the district will continue accepting school transfer applications.
Applications may be picked up at the administration office or downloaded from the district website at www.hfisd.net and may be submitted in person or by mail to the school district's administration office.
HFISD tuition rates for non-resident students who live in Texas will be $1000 per student for the school year or $250 per student for a 9 weeks period. Tuition may be waived for non-resident students who qualify for free/reduced meals or who are children of District employees.
Transfer students shall meet the following criteria:
1. Transfer students shall have been promoted to current grade level and High School students must have earned sufficient credits during the prior school year to advance to the next grade classification.
2. The student shall have an acceptable discipline record and attendance record, as determined by the Superintendent or their designee..
3. Admission of the student shall not require the district to hire additional personnel to serve this student.
Transfers will be granted for one school year at a time.
