Course Description:
This class explores design to help improve students’ basic art skills; drawing, painting and sculpting, design artwork using a variety of media and techniques, develop students’ creativity and self-expression, and recognize and use the art elements (line, shape, color, value, form, texture and space), and design principles (rhythm, balance, proportion, variety, emphasis, harmony and unity).
Materials needed:
- $10 art fee ($5 for 6th graders)
- Sketchbook, at least 8x10 in
- Non-mechanical Pencils
- Erasers
- 1 poster board
- Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils 24 count
