Bullying/Cyberbullying
At Hamshire-Fannett ISD, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
What is Bullying?
Bullying is intentional behavior that may be verbal, written, physical, or electronic (cyberbullying) and occurs at school, during school-sponsored activities, or on district transportation. Bullying includes conduct that:
- Causes physical harm, damages property, or creates a reasonable fear of harm.
- Is severe, persistent, or pervasive enough to create an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment.
- Exploits an imbalance of power between the aggressor and the victim.
- Interferes with a student's education or disrupts the learning environment.
How to Report Bullying
Students who experience or witness bullying are encouraged to report it immediately to:
- A teacher
- A school counselor
- A campus administrator
- Any trusted Hamshire-Fannett ISD employee
Reports may be made verbally or in writing. Every report is taken seriously, thoroughly investigated, and parents or guardians will be notified as appropriate.
