Hamshire-Fannett provides special education services for students who reside within the boundaries of the school district.

Special education is a child-centered program added to the regular school program to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

The purpose of IDEA, federal special education law, is to ensure that all children with disabilities have available to them a free appropriate public education (FAPE) that emphasizes special education and related services designed to meet their unique needs and prepare them for employment, further education and independent living.

Our mission is to provide our parents, students, and staff with information about the special education program, as well as providing updated information on State and Federal Guidelines.

We invite you to email any suggestions or questions to Byron Miller at bmiller@hfhorns.net or contact our office at (409) 794-1412 ext 281.
