I am excited and honored to be joining you at Hamshire Fannett Middle School. I am a lifelong resident of Fannett, and a member of the graduating class of 2005! After graduating from Lamar University in 2009 with my Bachelor of Arts in History, I began my teaching career at Hardin High School teaching World History. After this, I went on to teach at Young Women's College Preparatory Academy and Legacy Christian Academy before returning to Hamshire Fannett in 2015. Since then, I have served as the Social Studies Department Chair and sponsor for several extracurricular activities at the High School. I returned to Lamar this past year and graduated with my Masters in Education Administration in August 2021.
Hamshire Fannett has long upheld the tradition of academic excellence, and I hope to continue that tradition into a new generation of students. I have been blessed by the teachers and staff members who have invested in my life throughout the years and look forward to the opportunity to do the same for my students. It is my goal as the assistant principal to build a welcoming, positive culture at our campus where families and staff can collaborate to build programs that meet the needs of our students and grow student achievement in and out of the classroom. I am very excited about the great things I have been hearing from HFMS and look forward to seeing my students and staff on Monday!
